Keep skin or remove skin for Roasting Chicken Legs with Bacon?

I'm trying something I heard from somebody, but i dont remember who so I cant ask them. I'm trying to roast chicken legs with bacon strips wrapped around them to help. am i supposed to remove the skin before wrapping or do i keep the skin on and just wrap the bacon above the skin before roasting?

Oh, definitely leave the skin on. Just lay the strips of bacon over the top. Just sort of drape them over the whole chicken and it comes out soooooo good.

You wouldn't need the skin with the bacon
Reply:keep it it soaks up flavor ...yum!!!
Reply:you dont NEED the skin but it'd add to the flavour so your choice
Reply:you would take the skin off the whole bird before roasting it? A lot of work I think.
Reply:This site did a whole roasted chicken with the bacon and they left the skin on and then just draped the bacon on top.
Reply:you can roast chicken legs either with our without the skin, so totally up to you. removing the skin cuts down on calories and fat if you happen to care about that sort of thing
