Dark skin vs Light skin?

Im kinda curious about this now. Do you guys think its better with having dark skin than light skin? Or is it the other way around? Isnt it dangerous with having dark skin? Having dark skin may cause you get cancer fast right? Or then again it is the other way around with having white skin? Whats the different?? I dont get it!!
Dark skin vs Light skin?

Dark skin vs Light skin?
now im black, i have dark skin than light. i love my extra smooth chocolate, there's nothing wrong with light skin though. i also have light brown eyes and they stand out more with my dark skin tone. Report It

Reply:both as are likely to get it all depends on how well you protect your skin.

hope i helped
Reply:Light skin gets cancer faster

Dark skin is caused by melanin which is the pigment in human flesh, Exposure to sun produces it more, so people from contrys that get more sun (Africa) have darker skin then the more northern areas. (Europe)

Melanin protects us from the sun, more of it gives us more protection.

Or something like that, Its been a while since ive seen that episode of Bill Nye.
Reply:Below the skin there are melanocytes which produces a pigment called Melanin (Phonolic polymer). It absorbes white light -so the skin appears dark--the lesser the pigment the colour changes brown, white etc. Those who are genetically not able to produce Melanin are Albinos.People who live in Tropics, closer to Equator produce more Melanin -a kind of protective mechanism against the hot sun-light.---In temporate -the skin is white. There is nothing wrong in having Dark or brown or White skin- Skin Cancer -or Melano cytoma-depends on many variables.
Reply:What ever kind of skin you have, there in no way to get out of it!

Do your best to protect what you have, by using sunscreen and taking care by keeping it clean and well moisturized. I do want some sunshine, but I am well protected with sun screen and do not stay to long in it in order to avoid any burn. Aloe Vera 100% gel is an excellent product to use on your skin and nails as well.
Reply:Healthwise whether you have been born with dark skin or light skin or whatever colour skin you can still get skin cancer/damage with exposure to the sun.

The danger comes in exposing the skin to too much sun without protecting no matter what your colour. Depending on your skin colour there is a tendency for fairer skin to burn faster than darker skin. Skin cancer risks were higher If you tend to sunbathe alot or use sunbeds - though I understand there are sunbeds that are less harmful than they used to be.But letting the skin be over exposed to the sun will damage it. Think along the principles of toasting bread! There is plenty of information on the internet for this, so if you do a little bit of research I am sure you will soon know the exact facts.
