African american skin?

ok so as u all now it's the start of a new year. and for my new years resulution i have decided to give myself a whole body make-over.


one of them include improving my skin.


my skin isn't to bad...but its not the best. does anyone know of any good african american skin thing i could buy at a drugstore??


i want somethihng that makes my skin look smooth...and shiney..but not like oily. and my skin is like..idk...it's kind of hard to explain. it's dark in some places and in others it's not. also i have like holes u can see...i think their called pores or soemthing...is there something i can do to get ride of them?? i mean other than wearing make up? i wear make up..but i'm getting ksick of always putting it on....but i don't want to becaosue i don't like the way my skin looks without it. and please don't give me all that stuff about accepting who i am and stuff. becaosue i pretty much do, except for my skin. and don't tell me to go to a dermitoligist eather.

My daughter is african american and uses Proactive. It has helped her skin alot, no more pimples, improved the texture, and it just is beatiful now and glows. Good luck.

My skin has gone through some changes through the course of my life. The best thing that I did for my self about ten years ago was start proactiv. It started working within a week. It is really good for your skin cause it doesnt dry it out. When Im not able to afford the proactiv i would use noxema and olay sensitive skin moisturizer to keep my skin looking smooth and glowing.
