Dry patches of skin on my face?

I have had dry patchy skin on my face since around the time I hit pubirty. I am 23 now and I have tried a lot of different products and at home remedies but nothing seems to work. And I try to drink plenty of water. I have combination skin and it's annoying when the products I use, either make my skin more dryer than it was before or more oily. I remember reading in a magazine that based on your skin tone you're prone to either having dry or oily skin or combination skin, but I don't think that's the case at all here. What product can I use on a daily bases that will help to balance out my skin?

*Also my skin tends to dry out more in the winter and get more oily in the summer.

use vitiamin e and compresses not to hot on your face
Reply:get some face stuff i have the olay stuff and that works really good
Reply:sounds like rosacia (spelling?) Try Cliniques 3 step skin care system, it is great for sensitive skin. Ihave a friend who has rosacia and uses it daily. Good luck.
Reply:this works wonderfully well.

you wash your face with olay wash..( any kind will do) than wash it off with warm ( not hot) water.

than right afterwards put on Olay Complete all day moisturiser all over your face and on any other dry spots

do this before you go to bed and when you wake up and you will no longer have dry skin..this is what i use because my skin used to be very dry
Reply:Drying out in the winter and getting oilier in the summer is a completely normal phenomenon. It is due to the humidity level in the air and sweat.

Frequently flaky skin is very different from dry skin. Dry skin usually feels tight and isn't necessarily flaky.

Most commonly, the cause of flaky skin is a lack of proper exfoliation. Do not use a face brush or loofah....get an exfoliator that is made for the face and is safe enough to be used everyday.

You might also need to be checked out by a dermatologist. I have a mild form of eczema and have a topical solution that I use if the exfoliators and oil-free lotion can't keep it under control.

Hope this helps....Good Luck!!
Reply:Avon's Anew Alternative just came out with a product that would be perfect for you. It is called Photo-Reaiance Treatment. It targets patches of skin. They also have Avon Solutions Banishing cream which worked well for me.
Reply:Sunblock, everyday, even if you'll only be out for a few minutes. A lot of skin problems are caused by UV (Ultraviolet) rays.
Reply:i think there's a problem with your skin on your face. If you still have a pimples, that's the problem or if you don't have, maybe you only have a oily skin, because i also experience that, when its hot or warm my face goes very oily, but when its cold, it gets some dry at the sides of my nose or in some parts of my face. the remedy that i do is to always wash my face in morning, noontime, and in the evening and also try to apply in the morning and in the evening some astringent or facial cleanser for oily skin to reduce pimples and oilness in your face.

I hope it helps! okay! have a good time! :D
