At this point, you really just need to get any face lotion on there that you can and then wait it out. You don't want to mess around with your facial skin because there's a good risk of scaring.

Apply the face lotion when you wake up, and before bed. If you have time, in the afternoon, too.

Try gently applying water to your face and gently massage it with your fingers. If the dead skin seems to be coming off easily, then try to add a facial cleanser. Apply lotion immeditely after washing.

Next time when you're out in the sun, protect your face with an SPF sunblock of at least 15. That goes for any exposed skin, too.

Sorry but you are doing it wrong!! Deep moisturize A.S.A.P!! Then when your skin is moisturized exfoliate then moisturize again!! I hope I helped!! Good luck!!!!!
Reply:I think the worst thing you can do is scrub your face, you need to get a moisturizing mask of some kind, and try a moisturizer with no fragrance, because it may burn your skin. Next time used lots of sunscreen.
Reply:LEAVE IT ALONE. DON'T TOUCH IT!!! keep it out of the sun and wait for a week. apply ointment with Vit A+E and aloea vera for the night in a fine layer and await full recovery

NO PEELINGS or you'll damage your skin
Reply:Your skin is at this moment totally dehydrated and you will not solve the problem by scrubbing it. You need to repair the skin, wash your face with a gently soap ( Dove will work great), and get a repairing lotion for the face, make sure it is for skin hydration... keep your face out of the sun , and if necessary use a 45 plus sun block.
Reply:I agree w/ the other answers. To sooth your skin, try aloe vera gel or a vitamin E cream. Pure jojoba oil is good for any particularly rough patches.

If your skin itches, 1% cortisone cream will help.

Use a gentle face wash w/ a soft wash cloth. (ex. Dove bar for sensitive skin or Cetaphil)

You can make a good, moisturizing mask w/ banana and honey. Later as your skin heals, try mask of plain yogurt and honey. The yogurt will help gently exfoliate the dry, dead skin and the honey will moisturize and promote healing.

In the meantime, stay out of the sun, wear sunscreen or a wide brimmed hat.
